The Raven (Corvus) is said to be a shape shifter, messenger of the gods and keeper of magical forces. Therefore it comes as no surprise that the wise Raven is not only mentioned in European history but also by various indigenous tribes of North America, to whom he is one of the most important sacred totem animals - in some regions being venerated as the Creator of the World.
Ravens are talented vocal artists. Able to make use of tools, they are even capable of developing new tools as circumstances demand. Ravens are joyful and love to play. Exceptionally intelligent the Raven is capable to empathize with others, anticipating certain reactions.
The Raven teaches us to playfully explore new possibilities, to find intelligent solutions and to handle difficult situations with the power of foresight.
